Stop apologizing for the way you sound

Improve your English pronunciation by as much as 50% in as little as 3 months

“Can you repeat that?”

“Pardon me?”

If someone listened in on your conversations at work, at the grocery store, or with your neighbors, that’s what they would hear.

They’d hear conversations that are interrupted by well-meaning co-workers who know you’ve got something important to say so they interrupt your thoughts to make you repeat yourself.

They’d hear conversations with locals that are characterized by blank faces as you ask where you can find the coconut milk at the grocery store.

They’d hear job interviews that don’t show the interviewer exactly how well you can do the job.

Worst of all, you’ve tried to improve your accent.

You’ve watched countless YouTube videos, trying to figure out how to get the magical way to speak like an American speaker. You’ve listened to Americans, trying to mimic the correct stress patterns. But it’s not working.

You are certain you will never be able to lose the accent that’s causing so much confusion in your conversations. You worry you will be stuck in a job you are overqualified for, struggling to find what you are looking for at the grocery store, and never feeling confident in your daily conversations.

What’s going to change after all this time?

The answer:

Everything…if you let it!

You are either actively improving your accent and taking the actions that drive results…

Or you are doing the same things you’ve always done, hoping for a miracle that will make your accent decrease and native English speakers understand you better.

And if the same things you’ve always done aren’t getting you results, it’s time for a new solution.

The good news is: if you are ready to start learning smarter, with strategic practice, the solution to your thick accent is closer than you think.

What is accent reduction?

Accent reduction, sometimes referred to as accent modification, accent neutralization, or elocution, is a strategic way of reducing your native accent. It’s not enough to speak perfectly grammatical English if people have difficulty understanding you–you have to speak melodically and rhythmically in order to communicate well.

Accent reduction is necessary if you feel your own accent is holding you back and stopping people from effectively communicating with you. Most of my clients already know the English language quite well–but their accent is getting in the way of great communication.
